Default Cleaning up the jackpot back-end!

I would like to change the stock back end of my 09' jackpot. I would like to go with LED lights and a vertical license plate bracket (wheel mounted). I'm also interested in adding some body LED lights. Suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

Thumbs up

Yes i'm interested. Can you send me a picture? It sounds like there are 2 different styles for the Jackpot (from what i can gather online anyway). Not sure if the Ness is different from the regular Jackpot or not, but it sounds like it has to do with the swingarm bolt, but i'm not too sure. Thanks.

I will once I get home tonight. I have a teeball game for my son. Then I'll be home. I'll send you pictures of both the bracket and LED frame.

BTW. I did also put the MBW LED rear turn signals on my 06 jackpot. The ones that fit right on the bottom of the fender. Cleaned up really nice. Looks good. I recommend those as well.

There are two types of mounts the oval recessed mount swing arm and the teardrop mount swing arm mount. If your swing arm is chrome on the Ness than it would probably be the teardrop, if it is a painted swing arm than it probably is the oval mount.

Jeeves if it doesn't work for dionbill, I maybe interested if it is the oval mount and depending on the cost.

here's a (pretty crappy) view of my setup. I was using a mirror to see my new LED taillights to make sure they were working.

I basically copied the MBW-type design and did it myself. My ACM was fried when i bought my JP, so my bike had no signals. I bought a custom LED array that is a running light/brake light/turn signals and fabricated a bracket to fit under the fender. I love the cleaned-up look.

I also have the vertical mount plate. I have been hassled about it by a local cop, so be sure (before you spend the money) that your city/state allows vertical plates. I'm technically illegal right now, but i've been in front of lots of cops, and none of them seem to care. Just an FYI.

Hey,
Hawkeyecubbie how did you get that sidemount mounted on the rights side?

Looks good. I've got some flamed billet rear lights and a mount for under the fender. Just waiting to get a side mount and some free time to do my modes to mine.

Did your LED brake light fit right in or did you have to do all that cutting and glueing? I can't believe someone can't just make a plug and play LED system. I have the same turn signal lights and the wiring harness underneath looks like something a 5 year old would have designed. No plug and play but a bunch of connectors, wire nuts etc: I tried to clean it up but as soon as I tried to follow where one wire went the lights would shut off. Better left alone and working for the time being.

Your bike looks incredible.
