Smile engine light

hi guys and gals

I need a little advice.

after riding my jackpot quite hard down some country lanes with my mate my engine light keeps coming on at the end of one particular straight road.
its happened twice now I found I had a loose battery lead first time but this time I cant find anything wrong.

does the engine light come on if it gets too hot?

it still seems to run fine . if I switch the bike off and wait 5 min and restart its fine but . but if I ride it hard again the light comes on.

riding the bike at cruising speed its fine no problems. I know that's what the bike designed for .but its nice to go quick once in a while and id like to know what's causing the problem.

thanks for your help.

I believe the dealer can hook it up to 'Digital Wrench' and see the history of what codes have given the light.
