Bars turned left, set it to about 1500 rpm upon start and give her 3-4 min warm up. After warmup back it off to idle which should be 900 +\- 50. Set by ear if no rpm indicator, just. Above where the lope is. If you straighten your bars it should almost go to idle.
Other option not that Victory recommends, reduce slack in it and you have a throttle set for cruising. I won't say I seen others do it but yes. May have. If you go that route hit lloydz site up in tech talk and read the starting a cold Vic post he put up. Works the same.
