Default Damaged tank 08' Ness Jackpot purchase?

Hey guys,
I have my eye on an 08' Cory Ness JP but the tank is jacked, gouged, and needs love and re-painting obviously. My question is this: Do I even bother #1, #2 is it more cost effective to have the OEM tank fixed and repainted vs. buying an 08' Jackpot tank off Ebay and then having it painted, and #3 are all Jackpot tanks created equal, meaning all 08' Jackpot tanks would work on this as the empty canvas? The tanks are no longer available from Victory. Thanks for looking.

Only cost effective if you buy from ebay and diy otherwise just get a good repair shop to fix the oem tank.

I had to do this with a meanstreak I had. The 2nd day I got it, I had it idling and because of the v/h pipes and the vibration it produced, it fell over and put a nice sized dent in the tank. Around $800 and looked brand new. Hard lesson to learn!

Have you looked on craigslist in your surrounding area. Winter coming body shop could be cheaper. Ride around now and get some prices.
