Default Arlen Ness fairing install

For those of you who have done the Arlen Ness or cafe style fairing installs, what was requirement for clean and successful install?

So far I've gathered the following:
1)headlight swap for a rounded traditional style
2)fab or utilize different mounting beackets

Am I on track or way off?

Also, did any of you run in to problems with fairing and speedo location relationship? Or was the speedo still visible.

Just tryin to measure 2, and cut once.

Thanks gents.

I'm assuming you are talking a steel frame. The ness uses a smaller 5-3/4 headlight I believe and you have to fab brackets. You use the Memphis café with the vic 7" round headlight I believe you use the dyna fairing and brackets but I might be wrong on that one. The bucket headlight works with the Memphis café for a vtx1300 with exposed forks for jackpot/vegas but the hammer/kingpin uses the covered vtx1300 brackets I believe. I have a vegas with the Memphis fairing had to get longer screws was all. Should be a thread in the vegas section with all the info.

Can anyone else chime in with some experience in installing the arlen ness cafe fairing?

What head light is required?
Will the fairing clear the 2007 two gauge setup?
