Default Change out "bullet" headlight to "round"

Hello all. I've been on a rampage doing some visual upgrades to my 2013 vegas 8-ball.

I've changed out

-the front signal lights to the MBW fork wrap signal lights
- Rear signal lights to MBW fender hugging style
- Built myself a rear license plate mount and installed a new license plate light
- New black clutch and brake levers
- put on Hackers rippers exhaust
- Swing arm bag

I'm now looking into trying to change the bullet style headlight to a round one so I can try a batwing fairing out but I'm not having much luck on where to find said light

So I've come looking for help here. I'm pretty good with DIY on bikes so any suggestion will help.

Basically I need a light that will fit the mess of wires victory has shoved into the stock headlight but I'm not sure where I can get a round light. Will an older model light housing work and where can I get one? I've also seen a lot of talk about the judge's light working and that I can order it from a dealer but I read somewhere that the bulbs are different and if that is so, how big of an issue is that?

Will a Harley Davidson light work/be easy? I know they use imperial bolts and such but it cant be that hard to change them.

Any input helps.

I went the opposite way, replaced an '06 round with a later bullet headlight off of a highball. Some highball folks prefer the round light, some Vegas owners prefer the bullet. The wires stuff into the innerspace of either. I did have better luck reducing nod after going round->bullet by changing the mounting post as well. The reflectors are probably different between the HID and Halogen bulb options, but I think most bikes are halogen. I'm not aware of significant differences to worry about between Halogen series.

So ebay, disassembler (pinwall, etc) or post to other subforums for the models that came with what you want.

I will be changing my round headlight to the matte black bullet style in the future. Think the bullet style would complete the blacked out appearance of my 8 ball. Finding them online is another issue, its like you cant buy the triangle shaped complete assembly other than the dealer or someone selling to change to the round set up.

Hoping all my hid ballasts fit in the bullet style.

I will check, but I believe I have an extra victory OEM round headlight in my garage. I too did the swap from bullet to round on my vegas. I installed the JW Speaker LED headlight with mine as well.

That jw speaker light looks sick. That is the look I want with mine. May I ask what you paid for it? What did you have to do to mount it? Thanks

I dont remember what i paid, but you can find the 8700 evolution 2 for about $250 online. The mounting was simple...the original OEM Vegas round housing fit perfect. I was able to trade my bullet version for this style and swapped it no problem. Gives a good old school bobber look with TONS of output!!

I have been looking for a reasonably priced round light to put on my bike as well. I have the bullet style now, I think the bikes look better with a round light IMO.

So what year and model bike had the round housing that you mounted the jw into?
