Default control housings

I am needing to move the bars up until I can afford highball apes. In doing so I will need to move the control cubes back toward me...has anyone ground down the plastic locating pin on the cubes...would this cause problems etc...

thank you

No problems, and you have to grind it when you go to the apes anyways, so you might as well do it now. I think it's there only as a guide, to facilitate uniform installation on all the bikes.

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I rotated my bars up last season too. I have yet to open up the housings and do the same. On my list.

I never had to grind down any locating pin when putting the highball apes on my 12 vegas... but I also wasn't trying to rotate the stock bars up either
