Default Cross country fairing on a Vegas?????

Hey guys I have a 2011 8 ball Vegas and have decided I need more room. I was looking @ upgrading to a Cross country but was wondering if I can come out cheaper by adding the fairing and fender/bags of a Xc to my vegas.

Has anyone done this? What can i expect to run into(problems) and what was the cost envolved? thks Brandon

Nothing cheap about what your thinking
Bet it could only be a 2 or 3 thousand
Go to ebay and look at prices. 600 for just saddle bags and then you half to make mounts. After you look around see about selling yours

Thought I saw in a post on here where Witchdoctors had brackets to mount the Cross bags on the steel framed bikes. I think there were some limits based on the exhaust style.

That's right.. Witchdoctor has done the Cross conversion, but it was to a Kingpin. Custom fairing for the round headlight, mounts for the crossbags (on ..turned out pretty nice. Also, HMD520 has some kingpin aftermarket bags coming out...soon?
Just switch out the rear fender of your vegas...Anything can be done. You just have to be smart, crafty, and have a friend that can fabricate a little bit of metal.
