Default oil message and engine message

What's with the
low oil message every time the bike is turned on then goes away....vic Sydney
said it's normal on start up.....

But I also got a ck engine message as well...

Vic Sydney also serviced and checked over the bike before they sent it....so just wondering if this is normal like the low oil apparently is...

Function check for the lights. Do you have ABS? The ABS light stays on for a few feet too. If any stay on for more than a few seconds get it checked. Oh and the light is an oil pressure light, not a low oil in the reservoir light.
Just Vic quirks explained in the owners manual if you got one.
As to the turning over, sorry that could mean several things. However, do yourself a favor and put a wrench on the battery posts. These bikes don't play well with power abnormalities and the posts are famous for being loose. Don't assume the dealer checked them.

Ever driven a car? Don't all the idiot lights come on when you turn the key and then go out after a few seconds, sort of like an 'idiot light test'? The bike does the same thing.

By the way, the Low Oil light is not oil level, it's oil PRESSURE. That particular light won't go out until the engine is running and oil pressure has been achieved.

This is why they give you an owners' manual... RTFM

N8_- no that doesn't sound right.
What is your bike, year and modifications? It's helpful if you detail this in your signature.

The Low Oil display should go off after a few seconds and should be replaced by your mileage- this is before you start it. If you are also getting ck engine before starting then something is wrong, but if your bike runs OK with no oil leaks or obvious mechanical issues, then it is probably a sensor issue as opposed to a serious mechanical issue. Always better to be cautious and get it checked though.

Correct..and I'll add with starting hold the starter till it starts don't jab at it...Vics all wind over before they start up.
Dealer shoulda told ya that.
