Cool My High Ball Project:200 - Complete

So, after a lot of thinking, measuring, re-measuring, re-thinking. A bit of work and a lot of time, I have successfully fitted a 200 rear to stock High Ball rear end. What do you guys think?

Looks pretty good from here..You have enough clearances all the way around? Good on you for keeping the white wall...like there's another option! ha

THAT IS AWESOME!!!

Did you have to trim anything?
What tire did you use?
Hows the handling?
Do you get any rubbing?

The bigger tire really fills out the back end compared to the skinny stocker.

Looks perfect! Wish it came with a 200 rear from the factory. Kudos for your work

New tire on factory rim? New Rim?

Rim is 6" wide. Tyre is 200 / 60. Brand is Vee Rubber. Nothing needed trimming, clearance is ridiculously tight. Handling is awesome. Bike is lowered 1 1/4". No way I can go any lower now, and I've stiffened the pre-load a lot. Ride is quite hard, which I like. This is not a touring bike. Still incredibly nimble, but it just makes the bike feel like the bike it is now. Big, fat and bad ass! ;-)

I also think it should have come with 200 from factory. Doesn't look like a bicycle now.

So did you end up having to put an aftermarket rim on, or is it just the stock one?

Since the clearance is tight I hope that the tire doesn't expand too much when it heats up.

Doesn't seem to rub even when hot. I did have to remove the lower belt guard actually. The stock rim is only 3.5". The 150 on there is already more than any other factory tyre I've ever seen on that size rim. The spoke pattern is different on this rim so needed custom spokes made up

What brand did you go with for the new rim?

How many spoke rim did you put on?

Sorry for all the questions.

This is just so sweet that you figured out a way to make a bigger tire work on our bikes. Now I just need the details

Not sure on the brand. I actually found the rim locally here in Oz, which is quite amazing. Rim is 40 spoke. You will not find on any Victory advert giving you correct info. I thought the whole thing came to a halt when I found that EVERYWHERE says that the High Ball has 60 spoke rims. Wrong! Count them. They are 40! Lol. That was my best discovery. :-)
