Default Speedometer face plate

I bought my 2004 Vegas back in August. It is a U.S bike so the speedometer is in mph. I live in Canada and would like to change the face plate to kmh. I have been in contact with Webslinger who will change the face plate for me. I was wondering if anyone can share with me the correct procedure to remove the speedometer. I know that some people have had this done and the results seem to be positive for the most part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IVe got a Dakota Digital on my Vegas, but removal should be the same - loosen the single bolt on the rear side of the housing, and the whole thing slips out. From there, you can access the other hardware to remove the glass cover.

2003 Vegas - straight pipes, Big Sucker air filter kit, black powder coated everything - foot controls, handlebars, clutch and brake housing, fork lowers, luggage rack, wheels, digital speedo with powder coated housing. Relocated key switch, red plug wires. Mustang solo seat. LED ring blinkers in front. Black DEI pipe wrap.

Thanks. I will take a better look on the weekend. Maybe I should post in a different forum.
