Default Newbie from Everett, WA

Hi Everyone,
Been lurking around here a bit cheating on my old forum while I researched the XCT. I come from the Vulcan line, where my previous bikes were a 1997 800 Vulcan Classic, a 2008 1600 Vulcan Nomad and most recently (and briefly) a 2012 1700 Vulcan Voyager which I just traded for a 2013 XCT. Won't take delivery until next week or the week after, but I was just blown away by the handling and features of the XCT during a nearly orgasmic test ride last week. I also owned a 1969 HD Sportster 900 back when I was still wet behind the ears.

Anyways, I was the NW Region Leader for the Vulcan Baggers Association, or VBA (formerly KawaNOW) and have just under 5000 posts on the VBA forum. It seems a little weird starting out fresh with a new brand and a new forum, but I know how much there is to be learned from these sites and look forward to hanging out when I can.

I promise to show you something I guarantee you have never seen on a XCT when I finally pick her up and don't worry, I know the rule....without pics, it didn't happen....

Cheers....Kris

Well, Netnosrke, we have some things in common: I'm norse, use the net, and live in Everett as well. I trying to figure out how I can afford a XCT. Meanwhile, I hope to see you on the road.

Default New XCT

I took delivery this week of my new Boardwalk Blue 2013 XCT. Should be going back this weekend or the first part of next week for all the accessories. I added some Witchdoctor Pipes and Tips, XM Radio, saddlebag top rails, hi-flow air cleaner, 2" Pullback bars, Garmin GPS mount (I have a Zumo 550). Aftermarket stuff I am adding myself include Utopia Backrest (police model), HD Premium Luggage Rack, Heel shifter from Kewlmetal. Can't wait for riding season! Will post pics as soon as this site will let me.

Hi Doug,
You won't be sorry. The new 1700 Vulcans would disappoint you and the missus as far as driver/passenger room. The XCT has as much room as the Nomad with a lot more power and creature comforts. Keep me posted! Tricia and I still plan the run to Estes Park this June. If you guys are coming down you can take mine for a spin if you like.

There are a lot of accessories you will want to add to it....my list is long already, but I knew what I wanted and pretty well have it done now. PM me if you have more specific questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I've added a lot more stuff since this pic, but have not had a chance to take any more yet. Cheers!
