Whenever I see/hear anything about the East Bay, my thoughts go to the Blackhawk Automotive Museum in Danville. Ever been there? Its fabulous and worth a visit. The cars they display are there because they are works of art - automotive sculpture, so to speak. And the display halls are all black and the lighting is such that the car you're looking at is the only one there. If you qualify for a senior discount, you have to ask for it, cuz the residents in that area are so vein, they'll pass one up.

Sweet Steveg56, I heard there may be a group ride this Sunday leaving from Arlen Ness. Trying to find some info on it still.

Here she is. Dropped her off at Ness this morning getting the Highball bars put on

You know, I've lived out here my whole life but have never been there. I know where it is at too. Maybe soon!

WAZZAP guys! I too am in the Bay Area, about 25 minutes outside of SF, in the Pinole area!!!

This weekend is, sadly, my last weekend of official freedom - my wife goes back to work next week after giving birth to our first child. This Sunda is the last Sunday that I am going to have to go riding without having to find a babysitter, as the wife works weekends...

SO LETS RIDE!!! I dont know about the group ride leaving Arlen Ness - last time I went there on a Sunday (4 weeks ago) they were closed and the sign said that they are closed indefinitely on Sundays now.

You guys ever ride through Napa/Lake Berryessa? Awesome roads, good places to stop for food, etc. Let me know if you want to hook up and ride!! Im riding regardless, since this is my last chance!!

Oh yeah - and WELCOME TO THE SITE!

And RICZ - the Blackhawk Museum is awesome, isnt it? Ive been there a few times...used to work in San Ramon, which is right next door to Danville/Blackhawk.

2003 Vegas - straight pipes, Big Sucker air filter kit, black powder coated everything - foot controls, handlebars, clutch and brake housing, fork lowers, luggage rack, wheels, digital speedo with powder coated housing. Relocated key switch, red plug wires. Mustang solo seat. LED ring blinkers in front. Black DEI pipe wrap.

Right on man, sorry to hear your weekends will be filled but hey, family first!

My only other bike before this one was a DRZ Supermoto and it was geared for the street so I didn't get many long rides out of it. More for the twisties. Yes, Ness is closed on Sundays but that is where they were thinking of using as a meet up spot. I looked again but see hardly any further info. I'm only free on Sunday this weekend so I will keep you posted!
