New to Victory. Have been riding for 36 years on the street.
Mostly HD. Have a BMW R 1150RT. Last fall the cam bearings failed on my FLHT. I had put a lot of up grades on that bike and it was nice. I was tired of putting countless $ in to Harley's, the local Victory dealer is on the way to work. I first road a XC Tour and liked it. After shopping the Internet I decided to go up north to a dealer that had several used Visions and a XC. I road both bikes and to my surprise liked the Vision much better, so did the copilot. I ended up with a 2011 Crimson Red Vision with 6200 miles. Sold both my Harley's and a garage full of parts. Have only put about 1300 miles but don't regret selling the other v-twins. Am in the process of doing clear lenses and LED turn signals mods on the front also have top filter on order and lowers coming as well. Can't wait for the weather to clear up. Have also converted a friend from Missouri, he and his wife got a nice 2008 Vision about a week ago. Harley -2, Victory+2

I am presently an HD owner but am finding evidence here that Victory is probably a much better bet. My HD is almost 2 years old and has had about 4 warranty claims for each routine service call. In my mind that is a totally whack ratio. How have your own claims been running? On my Yamaha, I have only had 1 claim in 4 years of riding and it was taken care of immediately. How does that compare to your HD experiences? If it seems just too accommodative, it is time to explore something besides HD as a bike manufacturer. In that respect, I have so far found Victory to be a viable alternative. They seem to offer good coverage of their products to owners, as I might become, rather than spending their effort to challenge the legitimate claim of owners.

Present ride - 2013 Victory Vision, black, ATW at +3, Lloydz air filter and adjustable intake, PC5, 30,xxx miles

The last Harley I owned was used. It was an 08 Flht. I started modifying it the minute it hit the garage. Handle bars, seat, head work, cams, exhaust. Etc. There was no warranty on that bike, and quite frankly there is only dealer in my location that anyone speaks kindly of. The other Harley I had was a 2001 Dyna Sport I bought in K.C. when I lived there, the dealer there was pretty dam good to me. That is until about 03 when it was torn apart and when put back together produced 127 HP. Then that was it. My fault I know!. The Victory dealer I bought my 2011 Vision said there was a warranty until 2014 on that bike, I don't know how they handle there warranty because nothing has gone wrong! I hope I don't have to find out. I have talked with several other guys that have converted to Victory from HD and they are happy and have had very few issues and they were resolved with out confrontation. Wish I could help you out and give you a strait out answer to your question. The fact is I have not been able to use a warranty since 02 because I can't leave anything alone. I believe most experienced rider would be happy with the Victory Vision
