I purchased my 2013 Cross Country Tour last week and road it home in the cold. I was so excited it did not bother me one bit. Alot of people looked at me like I was crazy since the temp was only about 20 deg. without any wind. I would really like to see alot more members in this state. I am in the KC area so, send me a pm and lets go riding.

Welcome Cpeny. I am in central IL so it is about the same as you in terms of weather. I ride whenever local forecasts do not predict snow and I am willing to ride down to about 25F. That means that I get lots of good riding days during winter. Let's face it, if you do not ride to work at 30F, there is no way you will get to ride home at 45F that same day. I used that as a philosophy during my last year of full time employment and found it realistic to ride to work on many days. Each of us defines what we consider riding weather but most of us have about the same tolerance for less than desirable conditions. Unless those less than desirable conditions exist, I do not ride. For me that is about 25F with no precipitation but lots of other riders have a different criteria.

Present ride - 2013 Victory Vision, black, ATW at +3, Lloydz air filter and adjustable intake, PC5, 30,xxx miles
