Hi all..im a New Member based in Warkworth in the North Island of New Zealand.
Just purchased a 2003 Victory V92 sports cruiser with 45,000km on the dial..joining to see basicaly regarding problems/ parts etc as i was aware before my purchase that Polaris had crashed these bikes and their "Victory" was short lived and anything but a victory for us who now own them..

Rob,
Thanks for your reply..so given the bike ive bought seems to be in good running order and polaris are suggesting a further 10yrs of supply for parts whats your overall view on the future for of those of us who are overseas owners of Victorys?.
I got a lot of bike for my $6350 NZ dollars but i guess it counts for cold comfort if something major goes wrong and i cant obtain spares?

Howdy and welcome. We don't have too many Kiwi's in here so it's really good to hear from you.

Yeah; we're still licking our wounds from Polaris pulling the rug out but they say they will still make parts and maintenance items for them for another 9 years so I guess we'll see.

There are a lot of orphaned bikes and cars out there still going strong. I expect nothing less from our Vic's.

Well that's a million dollar question for sure...8) I"m a recent owner of the victory myself so I'm in the same boat as you ...went from a Boulevard C90T to the Victory due to having rode a few Cross Country's and fell in love with the ride...so damned with the politics of it all ...i'll ride til the wheels fall off!! LOL For the most part it seems these machines are bullet proof so with any luck we won't require parts unless you get into the mods of making an awesome bike more awesome!! I think we will be fine as far as parts go and if you got a deal then ride it til the wheels fall of and enjoy being a part of history of a machine that should not of died!

Probably not the answer you were looking for...but i'm sure other members will chip in with their views..some good some not so polite LOL

Ride safe and enjoy !!!

Rob

Welcome! Great place to ride that's for sure. Stopped there once after getting grounded in McMurdo for 3 weeks in a storm, what a great land of twisty roads and great riding! Also a great stop from Australia when I was working there. The 1 time stop turned into a fairly frequent stop over the years.

Just do NOT get into the 'Fush and Chups" debate with the Ozzzies here...lol.
