You made a good choice PH. These Vics are very dependable and require very little maintenance. But you have to know what that is and how to do it. You have a lot to learn, so ask away. Read the manual, there's a lot of very important things in it, such as how to check the oil level - its different than most bikes.
She's pretty tight at first, so follow the break-in procedure. It'll take about 3K miles to fully break 'er in.
I'll leave with this: When starting, wait until the fuel pump stops, hold the throttle open about 1/8 turn and hold the starter button down until it catches. Its important you do it this way.
