Default New 'round these parts...

Howdy! I'm liablemtl and I've been a motorcycleholic since about 1981 when I rode my first Honda SL100. I've been riding street since 1988 and have spent most of my time on sport-ish bikes of varying sizes riding position. I just dropped money on a nearly brand new '14 8-Ball and am just waiting for it to arrive at my front door from the other side of the country. I live in Portland, OR, where it rains a lot and for many years I rode year round. These last 8 years, I've slowed down on my year round riding, but with a new bike, I believe that will change. For comparison, I'm coming off a Suzuki SV1000S which was torturous. The Corbin saddle was great for long rides, but my wrists couldn't take the downward angle and my ever increasing weight. I'm excited to get the 8-Ball. I rode an '07 Vegas prior to buying this bike and I was impressed with the gobs of power that 106" mill makes. Anyway... hi!

What part of Stumptown you in? I'm just north of Reed College.
