Default VIN looks faulty?...

Hello everyone,

Since spring is around the corner I've started looking for a bike more actively (i.e. actually going to look at something and not only browsing auctions and ADs).

Today I took a look at a 2013 Highball but the VIN number seems a bit off to me and i just can't identify the first number/letter.

Link to the VIN photo -

Could anyone help me with decoding the first symbol? Also, is this normal for a Victory VIN to be this way?

p.s. As I understood from the seller, this one was bought off an auction with salvage title and brought here into Europe.

salvage title bike check with insurance to see how much.
Keep in mind frame might be bent or tranie doesn't work.
Look for something else
