I just bought my first Victory a black 2012 CCT with 2700 miles on it last Thursday. Already have over 3000 on it. I've owned Moto Guzzi's 71 750 and a 79 1000, Yamaha Virgo 950, 93 GL1500 and a 2005 GL1800. Which is now a Motor Trike. My knees or bad and having to bend my knees 90 degrees on the wing just does not work anymore. The forward foot controls on the CCT allow me to ride with out the pain. Really like the handling and ride of the CCT a little down on power compared to wing. Also I was expecting more low end but I'm learning to live with it. Love the gas mileage the trike was lucky to get 30 MPG I'm getting 43 with the Vic. always thought the wing need another gear the Vic proves it. Going to add driver backrest, trailer hitch and CB.
Welcome to the fold Grog. Re the low end, just wind her out in lower gears and don't treat this like a Harley engine, cuz it ain't. Don't let your ears fool you either, she loves to rev right up to the 5400 (?) RPM limiter. Depending on how the previous owner rode it, it may not yet be completely broken in, so some spirited revving will help.
2010 Midnight Cherry XR. 7Jurock, Lloydz AF, ATS, AFR tuned VFCIII, IAV, and T-6 and locally repacked pipes = big smiles. SOLD to a dear friend, so it's still in the family."
2017 Spyder F3 Limited - keeps this old guy in the wind and riding with friends.

We rode up till 9 PM last night seen a deer and a badger the badger was on the hyw the deer right nest to it. Both moved off as we slowed to get around them. I forgot the 57 Harley that I had for two mouths in 67. I'm getting use to the way the Vic works. There is not much I don't like about it. I tried the lower vents wide open for the first time and that seem to pull more heat up on to me. I closed them a little and that seemed to help. I would be at the Vic dealer in Omaha today but believe they or closed.
What dealership did you purchase from? I'm not too far from you (near Sioux City)...
I and brother went to Dillon Brothers Omaha on a Sat. the 18th. They had two Victory's one in the Harley side a Cross Country and one in the Asian side. The North store or Asian one had the XCT without the trunk. I bought it my brother bought a F6 wing. We have a group of local riders that rides every Sat morning during the summer. We have a mix of bikes lots of wings, some harley's, Yamaha, Kaw., one Vision and my XCT.
