Default Been lurking for a while..

Time to start joining in. Live in Stockton, CA, Recently purchased a 2013 CCT. Haven't stopped spending money since I got it. Had the same problem back in 2004 when I bought a new Roadstar but it finally quit for that bike which i traded in for my victory. Looking forward to all your wisdom.

Thanks for listening. Tom

Welcome from the Pacific Northwet. My words of wisdom would be to ride it for a while before you do anythingserious, get er broken in right and lurk some more. And don't complain about the clunky tranny, cuz you can pre-load the shifter for quieter and smoother shifts. Make certain your battery terminals are tight, if you didn't witness the tech actually do that. Check the air in the tires and the rear shock - don't trust those monkeys in the shop to do it right. Allow for your riding gear and the crap you've stuffed in the cases when airing up the shock. Its OK to error on the high side for better handling. Your engine loves to rev, so don't lug it - keep it above the low 2Ks.
That's enough wisdom for now. Again, welcome to the wonderful world of Victory.

Default Too late to take my time...

I did put a quick 500 miles on it. At the 500 mile mark I went with Ness Big Honkers Exhaust, Big Shot fuel processor and victory performance air filter, Victory two inch pull back handlebars, factory back rest and Kicker Speakers. Lurked for another 2000 miles and had Lloydz VM-1 cams and adjustable timing gear installed. Also switched to Power Commander 5 and Auto Tune with wide band O2 sensors. While it was apart I had the intake ported and polished. Had the bike lowered one inch. I have multiple Witchdoctor and Ness chrome accessaries. I just ordered the Madstad windshield setup. this should keep me happy until my 5000 mile service and then who knows what. Very comfortable bike. The power upgrades become much more significant over 2500 RPM. I raised my shift points up about 10 miles and hour. Now no sixth gear below 70. Everything seems to be going great so far.
