Thumbs up Hello from Atlantic Canada!

Hi guys,

I'm located in Moncton, New Brunswick, Eastern Canada.

I'm in the process of getting a quote on a 2011 Cross Roads from my local Vic dealer. After weighing up all of the bikes out there, an exhaustive search over a three year period, I'm now confident that a Cross Roads or Cross Country would be the best bike for me.

I've never had a chance to ride one for myself but I'm coming from a big old Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic, these new Vics seem sooooo much lighter when lifting them off the side stand. And I've read tons of great comparos on the internet and in magazines and the Cross bikes always come out on top.

I was certain that a Harley Road King was going to be my next bike but luckily the Cross bikes came out before I actually pulled the trigger on a Harley, that would have been a mistake knowing what I know now.

I'll keep you guys posted as to how this plays out. I'm turning 50 this summer and our house is almost payed, time to get a new toy!

In an ideal world I'd find a used bike at a fraction of the cost of a new bike but since these Cross bikes are so darned new, this pretty leaves that option out, plus I like the idea of the improvements on the 2011s.

I'll be back!

Welcome to the Victory Forums.

A couple of pointers. Please take the time to read the “Sticky” threads in the “Victory Forums Rules and New Members Introductions” forum. This will help you out a LOT with the Victory Forums.

The Search feature is your friend! You will find the answers to a lot of your questions by using it.

If you are asking questions that are of a technical/mechanical/electrical/performance nature please place them in the “Victory Tech and Performance” forum. This will speed up a response. Placing them in the model specific forum can delay a response.

Thumbs up

Hey, thanks George in PEI!

My wife took a Vegas Low out for a demo ride two years ago and man, is that ever a sweet bike! She got a lot of looks out on that bike, I was riding beside her on my Vulcan 1600 Classic and I couldn't help but notice the people checking out that bike, she never got that kind of attention on her old '82 Yamaha Virago 750.

If I didn't take a passenger as often as I usually do, I'd be all over the Vegas or the Kingpin, both very nice scoots!

Default Hi Humbucker

Hi Humbucker, I am in Halifax NS. I have a 2007 Kingpin deluxe. Great bike, I like it better the more I ride it. We also have a great dealership here. Route 1 in Sackville, NS.

Default Forgot to say

Humbucker, I forgot to say that either of the Cross bikes would be a very smart choice. If I decide to make a change, it will definitely be a Cross Country or Cross Roads. Great bikes.

I'll bet that that Kingpin Deluxe is a nice bike!

Russell, the sales manager at the Victory dealership here in Moncton is a great guy and he used to work at your dealership in Lower Sackville but relocated here 2-3 years ago.

Yes, the Kingpin is a very nice bike. They have a distinctive look that sets them apart. You can't mistake a Kingpin when you see one. A few years ago I hated the "Kingpin" look, but it grows on you real fast. I love it now.

The dealership here, as you probably know, had some "issues" a couple years ago, but that all got sorted out and it is now a great dealership and great people to do business with.

You will be pleased with whatever Victory model you decide to get.
