Cool Colorado Newbie

Hello everyone...

Been lurking the last couple of days and just figured I'd introduce myself. I currently ride a 2007 Honda VTX1800N. I love the bike. Just a couple days ago I pulled into the local dealer to just "mess around" and it was a big mistake.

I saw the Cross Country and that bike looked awesome. I had shown it to my fiance online in the past and she didn't really like it, but in person she did. She loves the comfort with the trunk. Most of my riding (90%+) is 2-up riding and starting last year we've been taking some extended trips (3+ days), so the storage would be great. So, we went back this past weekend and took one out for a spin and it was an awesome ride. I couldn't believe the handling over the VTX. The wind protection was also great to have and we were also jamming the radio.

Anyways, just dreaming of owning one and will probably be here looking around. So, hello.

-Jeff-

Here's a little picture of the current ride:

Hmmm, wind protection, tunes, and more room for the girl. Sounds like the same reasons that got me on a XC and off the Kawi. That and the fact it's a great bike.

Good to have you on the forum. If you decide to make the change, I don't think you'll regret it.

You are not alone. Plenty of us wishing or hoping for the day we can swing a new Victory. I like my present Triumph Speedmaster, but my wife does not really like it. She does like the Victorys and I must admit I really have enjoyed the demo rides. The power these bikes have is really enjoyable. My Speedmaster dogs out with two on board, I do not think the Victory will have any problem at all with two on board. Lets see 865cc verses what 1700cc,quite a difference in size. Also the balance for such a large bike is excellent.

Welcome Victory Forums.

A couple of pointers. Please take the time to read the “Sticky” threads in the “Victory Forums Rules and New Members Introductions” forum. This will help you out a LOT with the Victory Forums.

The Search feature is your friend! You will find the answers to a lot of your questions by using it.

If you are asking questions that are of a technical/mechanical/electrical/performance nature, please place them in the “Victory Tech and Performance” forum. This will speed up a response. Placing them in the model specific forum can delay a response.

Please add the year and model of your bike to your signature, so we know how to help when you ask a question

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

My fiance and I just got back from riding one again (the white looks nice!). The Victory demo truck is here and they're doing the "ride one today and get $1000 in free accessories if you buy within the next two weeks." So, we figured it couldn't hurt. We also were hoping to see the blue and the white models in person and they had them both.

The demo model had around 2100 miles on it and it seems even smoother, especially going into gear, than the newer one that we rode last time. So, that was pretty comforting in knowing that the break-in likely gets rid of that. They also told me we could use that $1000 from Victory to take off of the purchase price since the trunk is considered an "accessory". So, they definitely did their work in trying to sell it!

Anyways, still dreaming at the moment. Thanks again everyone.
