Talking Good morning from a noob with some questions please.

Good morning everyone.

I'm new to this forum but have been around cycles and on a different forum for a bit. I've been a sport biker and rode a Ninja.
Looking very hard at getting a 08 Vegas 8-Ball and switching. So I'm trying to do any research I can on this bike. The guy is asking $10K for it. I'll use the search and find any info I can. If anyone has any hints, suggestions or things I should really look at on the these bikes please let me know or even personal message me. Any vibration issues or fender buzzing on these bikes? On the Ninja the vibration of the bars makes the guys add foam grips a lot of the time. About what mileage you getting? How many miles about will the stock tires last? The engines I'm sure are good but what is considered high mileage on them? I thank ya all for any info you can give me. I suppose part of this should of been posted on in a different section. Ride on.

How many miles are on that bike? Upgrades? I think $10K is a bit high as a stock bike for that model. Also, if there are addons, only 25% of the add on price should be added to the total price if at all. There is no vibration problems. I even put on some grips for the looks because the bike is so comfortable I dont need to worry about my hands rattling off the bars. There are many sites that have some real nice bolt on parts to make it your own. See if you can talk him down to below $9K.

If you can't talk that guy down, and it is a stock bike, you might wanna look at the 2011 model. You could probably pick it up for a little over $11K OTD, and it has the 106/6 Motor and a 5K mile oil change vs. the 2.5K.
Just food for thought.

Oh and lose the watch.

Good luck in whatever you choose.

I thank you for the info and thoughts SeeJayDub . Thats what I'm looking for from the guys that really know and use these bikes. I actually have a few I'm looking at on Craigslist. Top of my short list right now is a 2008 Victory Kingpin 8-Ball 4000 miles on it for $8500. In its pic it looks like it has the blacked out swept pipes like in your picture. I see no other upgrades listed. I am kind of suprised to see only 4K miles on this bike. I easily put more on than that on in one year. 2.5K between oil changes does sound low.

Where do you live?
Check cycle trader or chopperexchange or look out side your area you can get a trailer and drive for a day to get a better deal.
Your going to be searching a long time to find bad things about the bike or motor. When you find something bad keep in mind thats one guy out of thousands.
Check your local dealer and see if the demo truck is coming and then go test ride what you like.

Thanks Johnny. I appreciate the suggestions. I'm currently working construction up on the Range same state. I'll guess I'm a couple hundred miles north of you. No demo trucks up here that I know of. I will also check into those other resources you mentioned.

Loose the watch. Good one I didn't notice that before. (One of the greatest movies ever. I hope they have a part II.)

I see the MSRP about $12.5k for the new ones so thought it to a little far out of my range. But 11K sounds a little better.
