I test drove the XCT but ended up buying an XC. Both were great to ride. I love my XC for the type of riding I do. You won't be disappointed in either motorcycle. I think it depends mostly on what you are planning to do with your ride moving forward. If I was going to be doing a lot of touring with my spouse I would have gone with the XCT. However, I mostly do a lot of short hops with an occasional solo trip here or there so the XC fits me just fine.

I came from a 109 to the jackpot. Mine was not by choice but I am thrilled with my Jackpot. I swore I would not own anything but a 9. If you are looking for more comfort for long rides, you will not be disappointed. The Vic's do not have the muscle of the 9 but they are not any slouch either. All the touring bikes that Vic makes are well made. You would be happy.
Good luck.
