Default possible Vic XCT in my future....what should I pay?

Hi everyone! I am seriously considering purchasing a slightly used 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour in red. The bike has 5k miles on it and I negotiated with the private seller down to $16,500.00. He says the bike is in new condition and has never been down. It sounds like a no brainer to me! But just wanted to get your opinions....

Oh and I am test riding it tomorrow!

Thanks guys!

That does not sound too far out of line to me, but I am a terrible negotiator. Is the bike stock right now, or have any mods been done to the bike.

Again, I'm no expert...if I wanted the bike I'd get it (and I love my XCT)...but another $500-1000 off that price would be an excellent find. Wait for others to chime in...

KBB lists it at $17,285. At $22.5k new and a year later for $16.5k, I'd say it's a good deal.

Default New to You Bike

I just picked up a 2012 Vision with 4,800 mile and the price was 14,400. I didn't even try talk them down at that price. If you like it, get it! Is it still under factory warranty?

Sounds like a good deal to me, if it is in like new condition i would buy it if that is the bike you want, but would try and talk him down a little, the cheaper the better.

2013 cross country tour stock for now

I'll definitely find out tomorrow if it's the bike for me. Going to test ride etc... I have a 2008 ZX14 right now...you could not get much different. The wife hates the 14 and I really want to start taking her on trips with me. At 44 yrs old the 14 is gettin a bit tough to ride for more than an hour at a time. Gettin old sucks!

I think it is still under warranty......

At 5K miles, its far from broken in. That'll happen after 3,000 mile or so. So keep this in mind when judging the power on the test ride. Things will be smoother, quieter and more powerful a couple more thousand down the road.
I have done a lot of touring over the past few decades and I wish the likes of the CCT was available about 40 years ago.
