Default New Victory Owner in NW Ohio

Hello all -

Just joined the forum in hopes to learn more about my new 2014 Victory XC. Picked it up last Monday. Upgraded the windshield to a tall, changed out pipes to the tri-oval stage 1 kit, added the passenger backrest and passenger footboards.

Still waiting on Victory to fix their dang luggage rack issue so I can get that added.

So far, I'm extremely impressed with the bike. Less than 200 miles on the back and averaging 48.3 mpg with a couple of small trips around town and a little back country riding.

Next step is to get the dang headlight adjusted as I don't have much light on the ground in front of me and it's hard to see the road (kind of an issue).

Looking forward to learning more about the Victory bikes and the XC's.

Ride Safe,

Tried to add a picture, but so far not seeing the option. Maybe because I'm a newbie around here. I'll check the rules...haha.

Welcome to the Victory Forums! Note that the economy displayed on your bike may not match the calculated mileage after fill ups. Most find the displayed mileage is off. Also your low fuel light shouldn't come on until there is .8 gallons left in your tank, you may find that it comes on earlier.

Great information, thanks for the tips. I never usually trust the computer calculations on fuel economy, but it sure makes you feel good!

Had to swap out the windshield last night. Originally had the Klockwerks Flip, but I was getting major buffering on my helmet, so I went to the tall. It's a BIG shield, but it's much better so far. Another complaint I had on the flip was the line of sight. The flip portion of the shield gave a distorted view of the road and whatever else was in front of me....really messed with my head and kind of gave me a headache.

Thanks all for the welcomes.

Rode the bike into work today and hoping to make a trip to Sandusky on Sunday for Bike Week Ohio!!!

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you are off to a good start. Check your owner's manual. I bet it tells you how to adjust your headlight. I know my Vision manual tells me how and it is pretty simple, even with that crazy fairing on a Vision.

Default Welcome

Welcome. Rode up to Ohio Amish country last Sat and saw more Vics than I ever have in one day. My buddy said he saw the same thing here in town (Columbus), so the ranks are definitely growing in Ohio!
