Cool The Indian that currently has my heart...

If the price is ever "right" (I feel they are a bit overpriced), I WILL own this new model:

The Chief Blackhawk. In a word: "WOW"

List price is $29,999 according to their site but I "think" you can buy one for $27K. I agree, it's overpriced. That rear "cowl" is NOT like the Hammer. Removing it does not provide you a rider's perch.

I want this one. It is a 2000 Indian with a 124 SS. It is my dads that he is selling. If I didn't have the vic, I'd have this.

I looked at the blackhawk when I was shopping my Ness. The best price I was able to get was $27,499 and as others have pointed out, the rear cowl does not reveal any type of passanger seat underneath which was also a disappointment to me. The dealer's approach was to simply recommend a second seat that I could buy for another $1K that was/is designed for the wife.

They are striking in person but for a similar price you can get one of the other chief models that DOES come with 2-up capabilities. While there I was drawn to one of the other set ups (don't recall which one right now) but by the time I was done with it, I was at $31K so it was quickly eliminated as an option.

The Indian's DO have a longer wheelbase which DOES make them ride differently than either a H-D or a Vic & they are VERY smoothly. As we say, you better have the cash if you take one for a ride because you will want it even more.

Good Looking Bike! The bags should be bigger and drop the price.
