I use to ride from Lake Isabella to Tehachapi trough Caliente. Slow ride, lots of cows running around, but a really nice ride.

The only thing I miss from living in Cali are the roads. Hands down the biggest perk in living in the state besides the weather.

Problem with the super twisties is when you become a road block to the racers (Those HD's are FAMOUS for being such road blocks)... I'm afraid most of us on our Victory's will also be such road blocks, we can't go hard into the corners the way the twisty regulars can... not the best idea to hit Mullholland past the Rock Store on a Victory on a busy weekend, you'll get in the way.

I agree to a point, but I aint gonna not have fun just so someone else can have his. There was a group of us (10 Vics, a FJR & a V-Rod) went thru there a couple weeks ago early afternoon, only got passed by one rider. Here is a pic from that day...

I've done Palomar Mountain and De Luz Canyon on a Vulcan, but not on the Hammer. I also want to try Ortega Highway, which looks and sounds like a fun ride. My brother was one of those guys on the Ninjas that loved the twisties. He used to tell me how great a ride Ortega Highway is. Hopefully I can check it out sometime soon.
