Question Selling my Hammer S; Can Stage 1 be Reversed?

I am told by dealers that loud exhausts are being shunned by many buyers, fearful of tickets, at least around cities in NYS. I have my original exhaust package, but wondered about REVERSING the firmware changes made with factory adjustments.

Any experience?

The bike is listed in our classifieds. I'm in Albany, upstate NY.

Goot , I don't think your pipe is loud enough to deter any interested buyers , just my opinion . Good luck on the sale .

I think your more likely to loose buyer with that ugly ass stock exhaust. I'd leave the current pipes on there and just let potential buyers know. That you will include the stock pipes. I say the dealer you spoke to is full of it.

Thx; I don't intend to remove them, but my Victory dealer was speaking from local ordinance experience. In Albany, the cops hang out on cruise streets with microphones....

I just want to know if the chip/fuel enrichment can be reversed.

Yes, it can.

If you kept the stage 1 air filter and download and put the stock exhaust back on, it would probably be fine just like that... but the dealer can put the stock ECU mapping back in it if you wanted to completely reverse it.

If the volume of the pipes is all that matters...why even bother with the programming? Just slap the stock pipes on to quiet it down while leaving the programming the way it is...
