Default Price of gas per gallon in your neck of the woods?

Thought this may be interesting;
In Sydney at the moment the average unleaded price is A$5.60 = about US$5.00 per gallon. And it's about to go up, dangit!

What is it in your neck of the woods in US$?

Now that, good sir, is getting freaking ridiculous
The boys from Europe and the UK (and the kiwis, if there are any?) are going to be seriously ticked off by this

I could tell by the other stations the price was going up but it had not hit that particular station. It's a well used station right off a major Interstate so maybe they make enough in volume to keep their prices a bit lower. There is a grocery store chain that also has a gas station. They knock .05 off every gallon for every $50 spent in the store within 30 days up to $150 so we can get $.15 off per gallon. It adds up when filling up a car or truck from empty. The prices are good in the store too.
