Default Rim on gauge

Does anyone know how to remove the chrome rim around the gauge? I'm trying to add a polarized screen inside but can seem to take this gauge apart. Also want to powder coat the chrome mount. That's the only chrome part of the bike that I would like to change.

It doesn't come apart. You can take the bracket off and powder coat it.

Noticed the rim bezel does come off, the qs is how? Wont power coat the bracket if I can't get the bezel off.

I don't think the trim ring around the front of a gauge has been successfully removed by a member here. If you pull the bucket off the back, the gauge can come out of the bracket. I taped my gauge face off and painted the ring.

As a side note, i see you had a CBR600 before the Hammer. Me too. Small world.
