Default lock and ride windshield

Has anyone installed the lock and ride medium height windshield on their BW yet? Im thinking of getting one but im concerned about the fit. I have not seen one installed on a BW yet. I think I read somewhere on the forum that the windshield hits the speedo. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Ron

Have had 2 different styles lock and ride windsheilds on my BW, the first one touched the windsheild, but later found out it was the wrong windshield for the BW, so the shop ordered the correct one.
Heres a poor snap shot of the first one that was on the bike the day I picked it up.

The OEM windshield lock and ride style first the bike without touching the speedo but is to high for my liking as I dont like looking through a windsheild on a bike.

redfromwi, do you have the medium height or the tall. I also cant deal with looking through a windshield. I was assuming the medium was mid height where most people would look just over the top. Also, I have in the past cut down my windshields by using a dremal. Something you may want to think about if the shield is too high.

The windshield I have for my BW is a medium, but still to high for me.
Sitting side by side next to my HD 1200 custom the windshield looks to be the same height, but its the difference in seat postion that make the BW windsheild to high.

So what I am working on now is lowering the windsheild on the MS batwing I installed, even though Vivtory and MS said it would not fit on my BW. I have measured and only need 3 inches of the windshield to be able to see over it while seated on the bike.

Default Victory Mid-Height windshield installed

Well, I finally installed the Victory mid-height windshield on my BW. It looks and fits pretty good. The only issue seems to be, as with many cruiser windshields, there seems to be a lot of wind buffeting after 60mph. Not sure how to fix that other than maybe cutting down the height a bit. Going to leave it alone for now and see how it does.

after a few hundred miles with the windshield installed, decided I don't really like it. Going up for sale. Let me know if anyone is interested. Brand new, shield and mounting kit. Perfect condition. Good deal for someone who has a boardwalk and wants it.
