Default Sliding tour pack ?

Anyone figured out how to build a slide for the tour pack to slide it forward and use it as driver backrest when not carrying a passenger?

I'd love to be able to do that! It wouldn't stick out so far like it does in stock form either...

Nice idea! I just sold a Honda CX500 that had an adjustable backrest. Probably too much weight with the trunk and backrest on the Kingpin though.

I was looking it over in the garage. I don't think sliding is possible, economically. But there are only 4 bolts holding the tourpack in place and an additional 2 holding the small pad in front of the tourpack.

I think a plate (steel or aluminum)of some kind could be built to attach between the current brackets and the tourpack to move it forward 12 inches. I'm going to unbolt mine from the brackets to clean it this week and I'll see what it looks like sitting forward like that.

Post pictures if you figure something out. Probably easier getting a seat with backrest, I've seen those, but don't know what brand.
