Default Kingpin exhaust.

Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone has put after market exhaust on a 2004 Kingpin.
If you have, what kind and were they full systems, or slipons?
I don't really want real loud, just a better tone than stock.
Thanks.
Loren

Yes I did a search but couldn't really find anything to answer my question.

I had an 04 KP and eventually put on RPW Thor 2 into 1 exhaust. It gave the bike a nice tone. Changing the exhaust IMO is starting down a slippery slope. I'm not sure what only new exhaust would do. It may turn out that after the new exhaust is installed you may wind up needing a fuel controller to stop the popping and then you may as well upgrade the intake and then you may as well get cams and a dyno tune. You may be OK with just an exhaust upgrade but maybe not.

While there are still some (RPW) that fit the old 92" most Vic exhausts on the market only fit '06 and newer bikes (the 100 & 106 engines). You might find this to be a problem. I guess RPW is one of the few that cater to those of us with older steel-frame bikes.

I have an 04 Kingpin that had Victory Slash cut Stage 1's on it when I bought it. I love the sound of them. They look a whole lot like stock, but sound nothing like it. I too had to add a fuel programmer to cut out the popping. I also added Torque Tubes and really upped the performance. Well worth it. They are just slip on's so should be easy to install.

I run the RPW Thor 2 into 1. They sound great, get compliments all the time. I also have the S&S intake and the VFC III. I haven't had it dyno tuned, but it doesn't pop, and runs clean. The intake noise is almost worse the the exhaust noise while going down the highway.

I had an '05 Kingpin that had stage 1 pipes on it when I bought it. They sounded good actually.

I wanted louder though, so I bought RPW Slash pipes, they were too loud for me. They looked great and sounded nice, but on long rides it would beat up my right eardrum.

I ended up buying a set of RPW Thor 2-1 pipes. Wow, I love that sound. Those pipes sound great.the best I've heard on a Vic. I wish I could get my XC to sound that good.

I still have the stage 1 pipes in my shop. I can look at them and see if there is any damage on them, they've been moved around the shop for the last few years. You are welcome to them. Free if You pick em up. Or just pay shipping and I will send them to you.
