Default Kingpin Rear Fender Chrome

I have looked quite a bit online for chrome fender trim for my Kingpin rear fender and turned up nothing. Star & HD offer the chrome fender trim, but so far, nothing for the Kingpin.

My rear fender extends down so far that it often gets bumped by the mower or just moving stuff around in the garage. That has caused some small paint chips that are now rusting. Does anyone know where to find a piece of chrome that would protect the very bottom of my fender? I'm open for any solution that would fix this...

I don't mean to be pissy about this but c'mon gadgetman. If you need a bumper to keep from chipping your paint banging into stuff, maybe it's time to rethink this whole approaching other objects operation.

There's got to be a way to operate in proximity to lawnmowers and whatnot without being forced to buy chrome pieces to do it.

Anyway, here's a possible short money solution.

Go to an auto parts store and get a roll of the "chrome" looking trim that goes on to car door edges. I used it to trim out my wind screen and not only does it look good...IMO, but it give the screen an edge that helps me. The stuff I'm talking about is actually plastic, but looks chrome and would actually adsomb the shock a bit.
Just a thought. Good luck.

This all started when I was given a Stratoliner as a loaner bike. It had nice, heavy chrome trim on it's big fenders and around the bags. It not only looked really nice, it was extremely functional. I'm growing weary of the lack of any kind of upgrade or accessory parts for my bike.
