Default Best Windshield for Kingpin?

Any Kingpin riders out there with windshields? If so, what do you recommend? I've done some research, and hear that the Slipstream and Memphis Shades are two of the best. I'm currently considering the Memphis Shades Speed Demon, or Hell Cat.

Thoughts? Mostly I want to minimize the air flow to the body and face, with as little buffeting as possible.

I have the Speed Demon on my Honda Shadow and I really like it. I wanted to use the Soeed Demon shield on my Kingpin, but the headlight cutout was too small.

As far as my Kingpin goes, I got a great deal on the Victory OEM Mid-height screen and Lock & Ride mounting brackets. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow. Once I put it on I can snap some pics and give a review.

Do you mean that the same windshield you use on the honda didn't fit? As in, you took it off your honda and tried to put it on the Kingpin? Because I believe the speed demon does fit the kingpin, you just need the model designed for the 9" headlight cutout. Here's a link to the mounting hardware that shows it can fit the kingpin:

Yes, the headlight cutout for my Speed Demon on the Honda is 7". Too small for the Kingpin. I was hoping it would fit and I could just get a mounting bracket for the KP to use it on both my bikes.

I installed my Victory Lock & Ride Mid-Height windshield and what a great investment! I put it on, went right to the highway, hit 70mph and I didn't have any buffeting at all. Now I'm ready for some road trips.

I've got the Victory one with the tall windshield on mine. I think I'm going to go with the Memphis Shades fairing style with a medium to tall windshield. Yes, it's more spendy but the coverage and looks are kinda what I want right now. I even have an extra one to sell right now. The plexy is ok but it should probably be replaced at some point or restored with that stuff that restores headlight covers.

If I were going with a handlebar mounted windshield I would save up for a Windvest or find a good used one for a good price. You could keep an eye on the classified section of the hdforums.com site and some others like it and ebay of course.

Bear in mind this time of year commands the highest prices for used stuff so if you go that route you might want to wait till the off-season if you can.

I've got the Slipstream on my Kingpin. I love the height (It's not too tall) and how the shape also keeps some of the wind off your hands/arms. However it mounts so close it actually touches the speedo & tach. Aside from that the Slipstream is a great windshield. 120 +/- miles of freeway 5 days a week and haven't had an issue yet.

I also have a mid-height Victory Lock and Ride. Works great and so fast to remove and install. I also have the Vic deflectors on my forks.
