Default KingPin shames VTX owner

I went to Orileys to get some parts and after I was done the guy asked me what kinda bike I was riding.( I had my helmet) He said hey I wanna see it. I headed outside and when I opened the door I saw a Vtx 1800 setting next to mine in the lot. The guy knew insantly which was the Vic and he said NICE bike dude. he went on and on and then looked over at the vtx and said it puts that bike to shame and what bad timing the guy was right behind us coming back to his bike..OUCH I thought...I didnt say anything I just continued talking to the Orileys dude. The Orileys dude turned around a few times looked at the vtx and just shook his head as the guy was getting ready to go and the guy glared at him. .It was obvious the Vtx owner heard him, he had a pissed off look on his face and when i nodded at him he disd me. He got on his bike put on his helmet and the whole time the Orileys dude was throwing a fit over the Black Vic of mine. He fired up his vtx and flogged the throttle LOUD at us and took off..Thats when the Orileys guy said Oops I didnt know he was behind us...I said I know but his bike was nice heck my buddy has one. He said NO man its a JP bike..Well what could I say about that but thanks for diggin mine...I felt bad for that Vtx dude but I felt good about my KP.

A good friend of mine had a vtx and he would always get pissed when my bike would get compliments. I always blew it off. I think Honda makes some good stuff, but side by side there was no comparison. One time a harley rider pulled up beside us and said mine was a nice bike and then told my buddy to not get mad if when he came back and found rice under his bike not to get mad. I couldn't help but laugh but knew the honda was a better machine

That seems to be a universal problem among us Victory owners. Whenever I go riding with a friend, no matter what bike he rides, my Cross Roads is the compliment magnet to the point of embarrassment. One friend has a Honda NT700V, a new bike to these shores, yet my XR draws all the attention. I will tell those bystanders about the NT to no avail. Hoo Boy, if you don't want to draw attention, buy anything but a Victory.

2010 Midnight Cherry XR. 7Jurock, Lloydz AF, ATS, AFR tuned VFCIII, IAV, and T-6 and locally repacked pipes = big smiles. SOLD to a dear friend, so it's still in the family."

I agree Honda makes good bulletproof machines (ATV, motorcycle, cars). I'll admit that if the Honda Fury had a 6-speed and 250 tire, I might be riding one. A guy at work has a silver 1800(?) VTX that looks a lot like my silver Hammer the way he has customized it. The only thing I don't like about them is the twin outboard mounted shocks.

The only time I enjoy stealing the show with my bike is when its making all the other Harleys around look bad

2007 Hammer, 260 Metz, Shotgun exhaust, S3 cams, LED hidden turn signals, HID Hi/lo headlights, a few Ness accessories, S&S intake, PC3, and dyno tune.
