Default Brake light bolts

What are the sizes and threads of the bolts needed to secure the kingpin brake light to the fender? Any help is much appreciated.

I took the fender to the local 6mm seemed to be the right size but wouldn't thread past maybe the first two threads and I didn't want to cross thread it just in case it was some other size.

Default Possibly

If there is powder coat(paint) in the threads, yes you need to tap the holes. Larger holes the powder shop I have gone to tapes over the holes. If you see powerder coat in the holes it will make the bolts not want to screw in, the paint is thick making the hole smaller.

Thanks VisionJohnny & SpeedBlue. The 6mm worked after I ran a tap through the holes.
