Default still backfiring and missing at moderate speeds

I have cleaned the throttle bodies and air filter, sprayed carb cleaner around the intake area, replaced vacuum caps.......still running bad. Any ideas what else might be an issue?
My bike is a 2005 92ci kingpin, k &n filter with chrome slotted cover, I think it's the ripper exhaust, short pipes that dump before the swingarm. It ran better before the throttle body and filter cleaning. Already did the tps reset, I'm just worried I might burn it up with the way it's running. It does run better when it's cool outside, definitely doesn't like the 100 degree ride back home.

I appreciate any feedback. 👍

Your running 91/93 octane? Only reason I ask is you said runs better cool and dissnt line 100 degrees.

Wires/plugs ?
Are you running a stage 1 flash?
Exhaust gaskets at the heads tight no leak?

Good luck.

I had a wicked stutter at 2500 rpm no matter what gear, ended up having the dealer re-calibrate it for $40. Runs great now.

What do you mean by running bad.
Cleaning throttle body's and reseting the TPS will not do a way with popping

I bought it used, it has pipes and k&n drop in. I assume it has some type of tune on it. I will check the wires and plugs tonight, also check the pipe connection at the heads.....any idea of the torque on those bolts?

I'm guessing either the TPS needs adjusting or it has the wrong map in it. I would take it to a dealer and have them check it. My 05 had to be adjusted after I bought it. I cleaned the throttle bodies and it was super lean. Someone must have adjusted the TPS with dirty TB's, it was way lean. The dealer had to rig up some o2 sensors to read it. They readjusted the TPS and it ran great after that.

My opinion your running TOO lean, Many people will add a free flowing air cleaner, With pipes and not add anything else thinking what with all the noise they have more power..
Don't assume the previous owner was any different..

The bike came from Texas, I'm in CA.....where we don't have 93 octane gas. I'm thinking maybe it was tuned for 93?? I am going to mix some 100 with 91 and get a decent octane level of 95ish....see how she likes that.

The throttle bodies weren't very dirty, the air filter was nasty. I agree it seems to be getting too much air, I'm considering a tuner I can adjust myself. Any advice on a tuner?

Tarzan and rhino are on point. Cost me 35 bucks to verify the map and it had a stage 1 loaded. It will easily handle a Ness bug sucker or torque tubes and sounds like you got the stock air box K&N so it could very well be TPS. I would still look at the little stuff.

If by chance the map is jacked I would go back to stock and add a PCIII up front with torque tubes when the time comes. No sense in buying a stage one just to put it back stock for a fuel controller. Or you could leave it I guess. Sorry. Sidebar

I had a PC 3 on my 05 Kingpin. I had it dynotuned. There are several tuners out there. If your TPS isn't adjusted right, it will have to be adjusted first no matter what you do.
