Relocating the shifter

Tried the search thing, you guessed it.

So, I tried moving the shifter and brake levers closer to the rider. Brake went fine, still out there. Is there a shorter lever available? Gear and Brake?

Shift lever didn't go so good. It seems the bar to adjust was too long. The lever was straight up with all the adjustment. What am I missing.

TIA for any input, and any leads for shorter levers.

Cheers

someone had said you need to move the arm at the trans,
but in my mind that screws up the shifting geometry and
effort, doesnt say anything about it in the owners or service
manual. the arm points straight down with 2 dots aligned from the
factory. must mean something. i tried moving mine too.
put it back and live with it.

12 XCT, sorry, I have been on the road today. As for reading the owners manual, it doesn't address this. It says it will adjust, but no joy for the Lost guy.

Sounds like it may be a common type problem.

Thanks again.
