Arrow How do you remove the factory grips?

I am wanting to replace the grips on my 08 vegas 8ball. I am thinking about picking up a pair from SMT machining. Can anyone tell me if they've used these grips and how they like them. Also how do you go about pulling the stock grips so I can put the new ones on.
thanks,
josh

Heat gun for the left side and just simply take apart the throttle side and slide off

I took the grips off another bike (triumph) to put on heated grips. The mechanic recommended using brake cleaner. It comes in a spray with a little tube to put on the sprayer. I used a small screw driver and worked it under the grip to get enough space to slide the sprayer in. The brake cleaner is alcohol based so it does not leave a greasey residue. Worked great, just slide the grips off after spraying.
Good luck.
