I've ran 87 for a long time, people piss and moan about gas prices and profits so why give them more. I like my money I'll not give it away to millionaires.

2015 Cross Country (bought new 7/11/15)
2015 Suzuki V-Strom DL650 (bought new 4/26/17)
2006 Triumph Rocket III Classic
1/4 turn throttle ring
Tank riser
VM-1 DR cams
Timing wheel +4
Lloydz high-flow air cleaner
Bassani baffled OEM mufflers
PC-V 118hp 116tq
If it's not broke, make it better

I have been running 87 octane in my 2008 Kingpin with no trouble and no pinging, even after installing Lloyd's timing wheel set at 3 degrees advance. Spark plugs will have less carbon fouling with the lower octane fuel, too.

Gdfishwell Galveston,Tx 2008 Kingpin Tour Lloyd's timing wheel set at +3degrees, kuryakyn isogrips, kuryakyn throttle lock with matching left side bar end weight

I run 87 all the time. I've tried higher octanes, up to 93 before, but didn't notice any difference.

2012 crossroad
08 r3t traded for xr
06 rocket classic totaled
98 t-bird traded for rocket
73 sportster sold
72 honda 350 long gone
