Default questions about 07 Vegas

I was looking at a kingpin, but it seems the vegas is similar in many ways, how close are they? How are they for riding 2-up? I am 6'3", are there options for forward controls for them? It would be mainly my daily rider/cruiser, but my wife and I would like to go for rides together also, I think this should suit my needs. It has the swept pipes installed already, which I would have added anyway, and the dealer I talked to said it has a blue tinted windshield that came with it when he traded it in, and has bags for it also. I could get it for less then $9,000. thanks for any input.

Vegas and KP are the same frame with different forks, tins, and front wheels. Both come with forward controls standard, but the KP does it with floorboards. If that is not enough reach. Vic sells a plus 2" kit, and there is an aftermarket source to move them +3" or +4"
Also stock KP seats are a little more comfy. Either will make a great bike for almost any need you can think of

I'm not an asshole...I just type that way

The Kingpin and Vegas are almost the same. The Kingpin has a smaller diameter but wider wheel which will give you better feel and control in the corners. The tins are different mostly the rear fender. Both are excellent bikes and very fun to ride. Just a heads up though if your planning on going 2 up make sure to adjust the rear suspension accordingly.

Thanks! I was told the kingpin passenger seat is a little nicer for a rider, and will bolt right on, is this correct? Is there a noticeable difference? Also the bike has the swept pipes, not sure if they are the victory ones or aftermarket, but is there any intake options that will help also, anything worth doing anyway, thanks. I put some holding money down on one today and plan to pic it up saturday.

I'm not sure about the comfort difference between the Vegas and Kingpin but yes the seats are bolted in place... Your question confuses me. Does the bike you're looking at have the passenger seat removed at the moment? If it does, the bolt holes are hidden behind the fender strut covers. There are a few air intake options. Lloydz Torque Tubes, S&S, and another one by Lloydz that looks like the S&S. http://www.lloydz.com/store/store_re...ingpin%2FVegas

Sorry for the confusion, it currently has the stock seats on it, what I am wondering is if the kingpin passenger seat is more comfy then the vegas passenger seat?

And thanks, I will check that link out.

What kind of fuel mileage can I expect out of this bike? I was told a Kingpin will get around 40mpg. I was told by a vegas owner that he gets around 45mpg also. What kind of mileage are you guys seeing with them, most of my riding is to and from work, 30 miles one way, 65-70 mph. thanks

Seats can be changed. Mustang makes an excellent seat for the Vegas/KP.

It's really a buyers market so if you are paying cash; you should look around a bit. There are some really good deals; even if you have to drive a bit to go get them.

I get around 45-50 mpg going the speeds you mentioned and mine are 5 speed whereas the 07 should be a 6 speed.

As far as the seats...well I have a Vegas and the stock seat sucked so bad! I bought Mustang seats for the front and rear and is by far the best money I spent.

You asked about intakes with the swept exhaust. Well I know what I'm about to say is going to start a small riot in the forums. Don't buy a intake unless you are doing cams or a big bore kit and if you do buy the Llyodz torque tubes. The reason being is that the S&S intake and the Llyodz non torque tube intakes will not make a significant difference to warrant the price. Trust me I know...if you are doing cams then yes but get the torque tubes...they are the best for flow and the flow charts prove it. Your better off just putting a K&N filter in it and calling it good for now. If it has swept exhaust there is a very good chance that it has the Stage 1 Victory kit and will have the K&N as well as the computer flash.

Next Milage- I get around 40 to 45MPG and I drive 40 miles one way to work. But my speeds go from 35 to 90....I hit the twisty back roads!!

Congrats on your new bike!

Kingpin/Vegas use the same passenger seat. There is a "standard" and a "touring" available. I bought a touring seat for my Kingpin 8-ball, and it's a bit larger than a standard. You can get a new one for around $175, or find 'em used for around $100.

Thanks, first off, I was wondering if the person had put a different air filter or something in it if they did the pipes. And for the seats, thanks, I will see how it is, its a 200 mile one way trip home with it so I should know by then! I wasn't sure if the touring version of the KP seat would fit or not, that helps also. Thanks guys, can't wait to get it home!! Then I am sure I will have more questions!
