This weekend I've been installing a set of MBW turn signals on my 2007 Vegas. I've put both the fork wrap around ones and the rear fender one on. MBW says that when both are used I should also install a Load equalizer to maintain the bikes stock flash rate. Here is some product information: http://www.mbwmotorcycle.com/products/Vegas.html
The problem that I'm having is that when I installed the Load Equalizer all of the turn signals flash when I try to use the left or right turn signals independently. Its as if I've turned on the 4-way flasher but I haven't. Now, without the Load Equalizer installed the signals seem to work fine although I suppose they're a little fast. The picture shows how I have it wired. Black to black, yellow to blue and yellow to blue with a red stripe.
Have I done something wrong? Or is this maybe a faulty unit? I guess the easy solution would be to just uninstall the Load Equalizer but that seems contradictory to the manufacturers recommendation.
Never mind folks I've answered my own question. I did a few searches and found an older version of the installation instructions which specify to tap into the wire that is black with a white stripe. Which I did and now everything works as it should. Here is the old version http://www.customdynamics.com/pdf/v4807.pdf
