Default 7 degree rake question

I am the proud new owner of a 2007 Vegas 8 ball. Long story short the guy I bought it from had 2 bikes and he liked this one the least. I upgraded from a 2003 Honda shadow A.C.E.
I have been working on blacking out the vegas here and there and have come across the idea of raking out the front end. I have seen lots different vendors and degrees for rake kits and decided that a 7 degree rake would look good. The sites however say that the 7 degree rake is for trikes or modified frames. Does anyone know what the modification is that needs to be done? What else will need to be changed for the rake to work ( new forks or cable extensions?) What are my best choices for getting an already blacked out rake kit? Lots of ideas and questions running through my head.

http://www.kewlmetalstore.com/produc...roducts_id=127 , http://motorcycle-accessories.cruise..._source=google , Seems like a lot of work. Some look nice if done right. Changes the ride and turning characteristics which you are aware of. The ones I have seen have to extend the forks 12 to 18 inches to get it back level. If not you will be going down hill on the bike.

the reason is simple.. the one above will not make you happy because the bike will not handle in corners.. this one will since the goemetry is correct between the front and rear tire !
