Default questions

Working on my 2004 Vegas and have two questions.

1. any great ideas on how to remove the air intake box without removing the engine? just asking before i start hacking away at it.

2. removed the stock exhaust to put on some new hackers, are you guys cutting off the frame extension that goes all the way back to the rear?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Yep...start hacking away at both of them.
A bit carefully on the airbox, dont cut wires or fingers and block off the entry to the throttle body just in case you do cut a finger off we dont want it dropping in your engine.
Its not that hard , just read up on it here.
Care removing tank..thats covered here too.
Any of the great intakes will give you a decent boost in HP and TQ
Hope ya got a PCV5 and a dyno handy so nothing melts.
exhaust valves get red hot.
Keep us updated hey.

Yes I cut the frame, but another bike on the island did not cut the frame ....

Just when you fit the exhaust have a look what you like ??

Airbox ... Same as MbX said ... Carful and slowly does it ....

I did it with sharp knife's so no small stuff falling into the throttle body
