Default Vegas Frame question

This may be simple, but I was servicing my 04 Vegas and I see the left main frame section (p/n 1014399-067) is flattened on the bottom just behind the kick stand mount. Is this factory as I never saw this before? I do not remember hitting anything. But I am getting old.
Thanks for the help.

Normal… comes that way.

The lower frame on the right is a bolt in section. Nothing below the front engine mount is structural... all that tubing exists as a place to mount foot controls, kickstand, exhaust etc.

The structure of the frame is the backbone and the engine itself.

I saw that, the flat spot is just behind the lug for the kick stand. Where #2 bolt goes.
