Default Mini apes?

Close friend of mine has ness bars and i really don't want my bike to look like his. I was thinking of some mini apes, but don't know if they need to be 1" all the way out or need 7/8" step down for the controls. Also not sure if the 10" mini apes would work with the stock wiring and cables. It sure looks like it would be close. Any help would be appreciated.

If you grind off the hole locating pin on the bar side of the perch housing's you can use any 1" bars you want or use larger bars that have the 1" on the ends and where the riser clamps grab on. Remember though; Victory's use 5" wide riser clamps whereas HD uses 3.5" wide risers. The early Vic's used the 3.5" as well.

Then you just need to be concerned about cable and wiring length.
