Default License plate bracket

does anyone know how to mount a licese plate bracket on the axle nut? I know this sounds wierd but there doesn't seem to be enought length on the axle to mount it,,, also how will i maintain proper belt tension when i take the nut off,,,

2004 vegas,, stage one kit,,lockport,..n.y.

As long as you don't mess with the adjusters your tension shouldn't change in the belt. Just make sure the nuts are flush against swing arm when you put the axle nut back on.

It totally depends on the type of bracket that you have, there's a mil of them out there. Mine was from Road6 Customs and I had to cut a bunch off it to make it work then use machine washers/spacers on the axle to make it work. Just make sure the nut is properly re-torqued and that it is basically all the way on the axle threads. My old vegas had the nut about 80 - 85% on the axle. I checked it now and then but it never moved.
